180,000 mls. on an 91 LS, is it worth doin engin mods
i have 180,000 miles on my 91ls teg and was wonderin if was worth the time and money to do engin work for more HP. is it to old to do this or would it be a good thing. i want to put in new: camshafts, valve springs, gears, and pully's.

I am at 135000 and mine responded well to the i/h/e it would say yea. Just keep in mind that that many mile things could go wrong. I would cheack the compression to make sure you rings and ext... are still good before dumping money in it.
my 95 gsr has 149k on it and seems strong but 150k is alot of miles to start doing performance mods. i figure for the cost of rebuilding the engine i could sell my engine and buy a JDM type R. do some matence before you do mods
