Accord 98 v6
I have Accord 98 and i had a little race with a guy who owned Accord Lx 1990 he told me this site is really helpful to maintain my car. I bought my Accord like a month ago and i wanna know how to make it as much efficient and powerful as possible ... for example which type of air filter should i use what oil which type of gas and stuff and so on please help me and thanks in advance for eevryone
Im a mechanic at a honda dealership so take it from me. You left out an important fact about your accord, mileage. Every 90k miles you need to replace the timing belt, and while youre in there its always a good idea to change the w/p and seals. Also check the tranny fluid because honda has had a lot of problems with their auto tranny's. For HP I would recommend just a catback and an intake. the stock exhaust on the v6 accord is designed fairly well to accomodate the flow but the intake on those cars needs help, plus a v6 w/intake just sounds mean. Look into a 50-100 shot of nitrous also, just make sure its a wet kit and use premium gas. good luck.

Also some OBX headers will give you nice gains at the cost of quality. Unorthodox Racing pulley set will give you nice gains for the price as well. Those two are your low-budget power adders. There's another pulley maker releasing a set but I don't trust their quality.
GOT a good question for ya?
Why does my Honda Accord vibrate at idle slightly especially in the mornings??? Vibration did not occur until my timing belt, balancer belt were replaced. HONDA dealership claim everything is Normal???
Thanks.

What year is the Honda you are speaking of?
If it is a 4 cylinder ... it has a balance shaft in the engine and if it is out of time ... you will get the vibration you are speaking of. I only mention this because you say that you did not experience this until you had your timing belt changed. The balancer shaft belt would have been changed at that time also. The Honda garage can take it apart and check all the timing marks to be sure they are correct. All it takes is the belt being off one tooth and it will cause a vibration.
I work for a Honda garage and it bothers me that the garage you took it to would tell you that everything is normal ... unless of course they have taken it apart and checked it.
You can also get some vibration from weak motor mounts.
More information would be helpful from you to be able to help you further.
