AC Idler

Hey guys,

Quick question, sorry I'm a n00bie. What is an AC idler pulley? My SiR been sqeaking like hell and the dealer said that's the cause.

the idler pulley is the pulley on your drivers side bottom engine/vibration mount. your belt might be loose...there's an adjustment screw that moves the pulley back and forth. check the play on you AC belt, and adjust till the squeaks go away...good luck

Thanks for the reply! I checked for play in the belt and it seems nice and firm. Is it possible for the pulley itself to be squeaky? I swear the noise is coming from it.
