Dear guys if i have a leakage between the exhaust manifold and the wastegate would i have lack of power? Please help on this prob, because i have a small leak and i have some lack in power and i do not now from where it is coming.

 

Yes that will do it it's not letting the presser build up in the manifold all you need to do is get a new gasket you can check to see if the manifold is warped when you have the wastgate off. Just use a straight edge ruler and lay it across more then likely the gasket has just blown out. You can get a gasket from Turbonatics. If you can get it over there in Europe.

Thanks a lot guys for your help . Exactly when the car is reaching full boost 6.5 psi , let say at around 4000-5000rpm, the car is instead of increasing power it decreases, and the engine revs very slowly kind of. you think its from there?

 

does it bog when u hit vtec? cause mine revved very slowly + bogged when I hit vtec because my ringlands were toast,

No guy it doeszn t bog , the car can t stand full throttle if i hit the gas slowly it will pick the revs up quicky and gives power too. But if i try to give it full throttle from let say 2000rpm the car would start runing fast but as soon as it reaches 4000 -5000 it would start lacking power . But if i have my ring lands fucked would smoke or breath or something from anywhere?

 

yea, if ur ring lands are gone u will see lots of smoke commin' outta ur exhaust

Thanks guy again. I have found the fault hopefully. as soon as it was reaching 6 psi the car was coming very lean, and i have find out that i have my f.m.u is not functioning wright. Once i have boosted my car around 17 psi by mistake and i think it started going wrong from that day.
