New member, couple of questions (gs-r nitrous)
Hi, im considering picking up a 94-97 GS-R as a daily driver, and had a few questions. Im not new to cars, but i am new to hondas and FWD in general. Ive had a Turbo II RX-7 w/ a haltech/1600cc inj/T60-1/etc, and i still have a WRX running 7.60's (1/8) and an SR swapped 90 240sx (new project).
basically if i keep going with the WRX im going to break a bunch of **** i cant afford to fix more than likely. so i put together the 240sx with the intention of building it up and selling the subaru and buying something else as a dedicated daily driver.
which brings me here.
Basically what id like to know is how realistic is it to have a mid/high 12 second daily driven GS-R. Most likely considering nitrous as a power adder, for simplicity and the fact that, tuned right, it works, and works well. The only mods im really considering for the car aside from basic suspension upgrades are lsd, clutch, I/H/E and 75-100hp N20. i've seen a few of your sigs with mid 12 second times and nitrous, so i was wondering if axels are a problem, or what other things i should look out for.
Sorry if this seems like a lot of crap for a first post, but id like to try and get as much info as possible without having to make 1000 posts to get it. Thanks, and i look forward to any info you guys can give me.

You have a good idea so far. Plate kit, clutch, slicks, and I/H/E should get you to 12s. I doubt anyone running 12's is using upgraded axles. We're all too cheap!
Hmm, thats cool. i dont really have any plans to run slicks on the car. it'd prolly get drag radials on 15s or 16s and thats it.
Id also been told in the past that the plate kit wasnt worth a damn on the integra. I work at a shop pretty much dedicated to tuning mustangs (several 8 second 1/4 cars etc) and ive yet to see the NOS plate kit do anything impressive on our dyno.
