There is a rattling sound under my car and it seems like my piping is hitting against this heat shield or something.....wat can i do to stop this? should i jus take the heatshield off? im kinda of scared to do so cause the pos is rusted like hell. i was planning on jus buying a whole new cat back sometime in the spring. so should i jus suffer through it till then? the car is only rattling when the car is cold but when it warms up it is totally gone? wat should i do?

 

Usually you can loosen all the pipes & hangers, then wrestle them around so they line up just right, & tighten them. But if they're all rusted badly, you might not get them loose. You can either live with it for now, bend it or move it with a hammer, or use this as an excuse to get your cat-back now...
