aight i hope u can understand wat i am tryin to tell ya. Well couple days ago i started up my car and let it run for some on my way to school well when i went in first gear at about 3000 rpms it seemed the car wanted to stall and when i tried to give it gas it wouldnt do nothin unless i floored it to the floor and it would come out of this stage and act fine through the rest of the gears. wats goin on with it? i thought it would be my fuel filter but i would think it would do this a lot but it only does it in this gear every once in a while. it dont do it somtimes which is really weird.

 

come on i know someone has to know somethin about this!!

check your basics.....oil, spark plug/wires, o2 sensor might be burned, fuel pump.......

 

I had the exact sasme problem.. turned out to be the spark plugs.. i'd start with the basics first like D.M. said.

 

I thought I saw in a picture thread you have a CAI on your car.

It wasn't raining that day was it..

 

i would say check out the o2 sensor my friend just had the same exact problem

 

hey.. no it wasnt rainning that day.. i dont drive my car in the rain at all. i have a beater car for that. how would u check the O2 sensor????

 

My car will once in a while do that in first gear..usually if its been sitting for a while, start it up, warm it up..and first gear..around 3k rpm..it bogs as well...I just push in the clutch and give it a nice REV..to clear it out...I have no clue what its from though. I've replaced my fuel filter about 6000 miles ago..so i know its not that....some insight would be good if anyone knew

same here, word for word.

 

thats odd... everyone on other teg boards have told me the same thing they have that problem too. some insight as to why it causes this might help us all

 

Havin the same prob now...Ive got some oil burning tho due to I think of bad valve seals...but yea, bogs once in a while. Im thinkin spark plugs...My car is running RICH too!
