h22 into a 92 accord
hi im mostly posting this for my brother. im trying to talk him into puttin an h22 in his 92 ex sedan. anybody who has done this what is you opinion would jdm be better or usdm and if he wanted to get a 97-01 h22 how would he go about changing the tranny since his is cable and the h is hydro. also reading on some websites that sell h22's they say it will fit into a 90-93 accord with "the appropriate adapters" what are these adapters u need or r they referring to the jdm engine and the need for a diff speed sensor. i have been to h22a.org and read their install procedure for this particular swap but it didnt give me the info that i would like to obtain. so any help regarding these questions would be appreciated, thanks
if you can't find it here use my friend google. but i know for a fact there is plenty of info about installing h22a in 4th gens here in this forum.

it's a direct drop in, the H22 actual came in some overseas models of the same car. There are a few minor little things to modify, but nothing too major. Won't need any adapters. JDM = cheaper than USDM....and has 10hp more....don't ask me why JDM is always cheaper, but the USDM ones are rediculous. I do not know how the 97-01 H22 will do in the 4th gen accord, I'm only familiar with the previous generation (non h22a4) swap.

They breifly go over the 4th geration swap there. And there is LOTS of info on H22A swaps here @ h-t. Just do a search for "H22A Swap" in the accord forum.

You are 100% correct about the clutch all accords (in the US at least) have Hydro clutches from 1990 up
