Default SOHC turbo onto GSR?

I coulnt find anything on seach but was wondering if i were to get the sohc greddy kit, can i just change the manifold and use that whole kit on a 94 b18c1 in a 5th gen hatch? I only want to run at most 8 psi and i have 10.6:1 CR JE pistons in there. I want to use the vafc hack also. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks

the turbo will spool really quck and you wont have a ton of top end power. (my thoughts)

well, yeah, technically it would work, but if your throwing away the manifold AND fuel management kit from the greddy kit your really not using much from the kit but the turbo... so then why buy a kit in the first place?? The charge pipes most likely wont fit. I'd say go junkyard, get a t3-60trim off ebay or somewhere, and a t3 manifold (easy) and do it that way. Make the charge pipes yourself (jcwhitney) and afc-hack. You will be much happier, and it'll be cheaper that way, too.

no, t3 super60 would be great for your app. Compression is a little high, better have a good tuning-ems.

the 15g on a stock gsr motor will reach full spool of 8psi at about 2500rpms!
it will die out after about 6,000rpms on a B18c1.... you will not be happy.

the 15G on a b16a would be ok but it would drop off top end just like the GSR but later at about 7k ish. good for cheap turbo kit.

The turbo from the APEXI d16 would be very STOCK like pick. full spool of 8spi at 2300-2400rpms and pulls strong and very gradually to redline. It will not make more topend power & PULL STRONG than say a t3t4, but the powerband will appear as if your car was ment to be boosted and very smooth . Great daily driver and street killer. Max psi on a stock b18c1 pulling to redline would be about 14psi, which should get you about 300whp give or take 15whp if your car is tuned.

trust me ..... hehe
