I am thinking about getting a high performance chip. I would appreciate any recommendations/opinions.

one of the guys who works there, frequents this board alot under s/n GZDR4 or something like that

 

if its for an auto, then there is a problem, becuase most chips convert an auto ecu into a 5spd. haven't heard of any performance auto chips yet....

 

What are good chips for 5 speeds?

 

depends on what ecu and whats the state of the motor, if its light tune or more like race tune.....also some chips work with some motors others don't do anything,
for a honda lightly tuned motor, mostly 2-7hp (N/A) can only be gained from a ROM upgrade

that was the case with me and a Spoon Street Tuned ECU (a geniue one) P30, when the motor wouldn't ping or detonate(case only with this ecu), i would gain about 2hp at the top vs my stock JDM ecu P30....
