Well I just bought a D16Z6 for my 93 CX because the stock motor unfortunately won't last till I can save for a better swap.... Anyhow, the guy threw in a P28 ECU, but I was informed that it might possibly be for an auto... the number is 37820-P28-A51.... Now this ecu has been opened, because the four outer screws on one side are missing. Also it has some rust on the bottom side in the corner. Several questions on that actually. Is the rust cause for concern, is it possible this ecu was re-chipped and should I just buy another ecu or try this one when I drop the motor in... Thanks...

I am also curious as to what that entails, because maybe that is why my ECU was opened. I dunno, as far as ECU's I am clueless. Never had to worry about them before. I tried to search, but to no avail.

yeah well my english dont have that many words so try 2 understand this...

you need 2 either take out or insert a resiter think it is R17 or r27 on the ECU !!
there is some where on the net about it !!.. needed 2 do it my self one time !! had a ECU set for auto but had manuel in my car..
when i did a JDM soch 1.5 vtec 130 HP swap

fund it !!

here you go !! under tech !! it tell have 2 check and do it auto or manuel

if you go to hondata's webpage and look in the download section, in the installation instructions, it tells you how to convert your auto ecu by "jumping" two points on the ecu. HTH
