Default BOV and turbo filter question

Question
Before i had no filter on my turbo and the BOV (HKS SSBOV) was louder than now..Now that i have my old AEM CAI Filter...Its not as loud..Is this normal or do i need a new filter thats made for turbos???

its normal that having a filter on the turbo would make it quieter. i once drove without a filter on mine for awhile and your right . it is about 4 times louder than with a filter, but the filter protects it

Weird, I never noticed a diff going from no filter to filter.

I don't understand how an air filter would affect the BOV sound. It is after the turbo, IC piping etc. I guess I could see how it could affect the spool sound , but BOV I don't know.

Its a huge difference . The turbo itself is alot louder when you have no filter but when you let off the gas the bov is crisper and quicker

See when i just had a screen on my turbo and no filter..My HKS BOV sounded like a dying bird hahahah..Anyways, now since i got a Filter on there..My bov doenst sound liek a dying bird anymore..It trips me out cuz i thought my **** fucked up or something and Tightening and loosening the screw and ****. LOL

oooooh... i might have to try that! I have my old AEM CAI filter, and i need a filter on my turbo! I couldn't fit anything, but that might work!
