prelude got side swiped!!!!
i need HT input.
i love my lude first of all. it got hit earlier this week by a 87' F-250 on the driver side. front fender, door, window, and about 6"inches of the rear 1/4 panel. all gone. insurance racked up $3500 estimate. almost as much as the car. the person who hit i knew and doesn't want to report it. he's 17 and just got his L's. so he has agreed to pay the estimate and i plann to sell the car. i wish i had pics. i want to sell the car for at least $3K no lower as is. and now i don't know what to get? 4th gen or 5th gen?
i like the performance of the 4th gen, but the 5th gen looks nice too. for those that don't remeber i am the guy that just broke up with my girl that left me for a 28 year old guy, she's 19. anyhow i will start a poll and suggestions and input are all welcome. Thanks for your time guys. Peace.

Tony....be VERY careful!!! I have heard HORROR stories regarding accidents where the person at fault wants to pay out of pocket. Honestly, since you are not at fault...I would just go through the insurance to make sure you get what is coming to you. Don't worry about the other guy.
The only way I would do it..is have him give you cash or a check for the WHOLE amount IMMEDIATELY. Don't allow him to pay over time or to pay you "When he gets paid". It can get VERY ugly!!

right on man, thanks. i train in the martial arts with this guy so i know him well and i have his address. we have planned for him to give it to me today and i have all info just incase things dont go down. thanks though. today would be the day if i do or not report it. if comes up with some excuse i will report it no later that tomorrow for sure. thanks again. hows ur lude coming along?
