Default ? on making homemade ITB's

I know everything is possible with $$ but I was thinking of picking up a set of ITB from a gsxr 600 or 1000 and welding them onto a cutoff intake manifold flange. The only question I have is what can I use for a vaacum source? I think the ITB's may have something for vaccum but if not? Curiosity gets the best of me on ebay and hella cheap stuff that people are selling.

You need to tap into all 4 runners and run them to a vacumn canister. There is a guy on here named "AZFAB" He has made his own ITB"s. The guy can fabricate anything. He should be able to help you out.

you might want to tap all the runners and send them to a vacuum canister such as the GSR iab cannister or at least a larger vacuum can. this might help with low vacuum at 0 throttle

The wheels got turning when I was just looking around on ebay and sportbike ITB's go really cheap and I've got a couple of leftover intake manifolds laying around so wht the hell. Only other questions is how much tuning is gonna be needed to make it work? ECU work or what?

If anyone needs them I have 2 sets of GSXR1000 throttle bodies and one set of hayabusa throttle bodies. The GSXR1000 are abot 43mm and the Haybusa are 46mm.

could you have the TB bored out a bit? What about injectors and fuel delivery? I'm not sure that the injectors would fit in them... would they? Now I'm super interested..

I am working on this at the moment also, i have a set of hyabussa ITBS. I am in the process of getting a flange made for the adapter, but with the flange the spacing will be perfect so all honda fuel rails will bolt right up along with the injectors.

dudes,
we have discussed this in major length here over the past year or two and if you search for ITB's and throttlebodies and such you will come up with a few of the 3,4 and 5 page threads about the subject an dwith much needed info on how to run ITB's with a Honda ECU.

I have GSX-R 750 ITB's and a sliced up GSR Intake Manifold right now but I put the project on hold since I am too broke to even afford Hondata to tune it with.

They can be bored over. There are shops that can take the Hayabusas to 50mm.
If you are just cutting and welding, I would use the car FI setup to keep it simple. The "outboard" injectors would work provided they were adaquete size. The "outboard" mounted injectors will also make more power due to enhanced atomization, but low rpm (idle quality)will suffer some since the lower velocity of the intake charge will cause fuel seperation.
