Help with low budget build!
Looking to turn my EJ8 into a head turner and give that extra power to it. Problem is that im trying to save as much money as i can. New to the Honda bussiness. Tips and ideas please. My plan is to lower it then put a intake in it. Already got some 15" rotas waiting to go on. Where can i buy some cheap but reliable parts.

i got koni/ground control setup right now, but im buying a skunk2 pro-s set, because i need new top hats, as well at my struts are severly rusting, and koni's finding loopholes in the lifetime warranty so they cant replace em.
never buy koni! they rust, they dont back up their warranty, and tbh im not getting the drop i want, so skunk2 is my new direction.

cheaest skunk2 kits ive found were on.... ebay!
im tryna get a pm on h-t pricing for a set. i dont wanna buy off ebay and find out they only ship me 3 springs, or the label says "skoonk2" or some other chinese defect. my buddy got ebay fogs, and the wires is waaaay to short to reach the switch, and they have a "Lgnition" wire, lol.

im redoing my entire car. blox lca's, skunk2 coilovers, rota circuit 10s [bronze], olive green paint job, possibly a carbon fiber hood, its still a toss up. basicly everything but swap and boost, thatll have to wait til after college.
got me some like new tenzo-r seats with takata harnesses, 125 bucks for the pair. ;D they were ghetto fitted into a mark3 jetta, pssh, i cant stand v dubbers.

Re: Help with low budget build!
i picked up some D2's for my hatch, people talked **** about them being crappy.. mine work great i guess i got a good pair *shrug* but yea like they are sayin i never buy anything external off ebay, just interior parts. Check out ur local Junkyard too usually you can find something that you can bring back to life to put on your car

Re: Help with low budget build!
i got most interiors, just need a center console and the inner door handle w/ power window slots. managed to pull 6 ecu's while rooting through the 4 local u-pull-it junkyards for interior. so the junkyard rooting is practically paying for the interior im replacing! =D
d2 coilovers? how much drop are you getting on them? im looking to get a 15" rota tucked on a ej1, and ive seen pics of it done w/ skunk2's, ill have to compare prices with d2.

Re: Help with low budget build!
when u have coilovers you can go as low as possible...all u gotta do is crank them up or down....but the max drop might be 4-5 inches!

Re: Help with low budget build!
I have a Y8 on my Civic. Well let me make this easier to answer. What is a reliable set up for suspension but isnt that expensive. And what is a good intake to buy. Not gonna spend a little over $100.

Re: Help with low budget build!
my K20's oil pan is about 2 inches off the ground.. and im on 16's the tire is about half a fingers width from the wheel well.. and my tires dont bite... i dont bottom out... or anything, they are FULL coilovers and i think they work great.. just if u slam them like i did, i live where this is alot dips in the freeway so i made my ride a bit stiffer.
