i just got the type s strut bar this morning. so i went out side to install it on my car. got my tool set ready, etc. very excited..... until i found out that my agx shocks are blocking the holes where the strut bar would bolt on to.

this picture may help envision it.



ok, the jdm strut bar will NOT bolt on to the existing shock mounting points (3 around the shock) if you look at your 5th gen engine bay, you will see that there are 2 circular stickers near top of the shock on each side. take those off, voila!you got 2 holes on each side DESIGNATED for the jdm strut bar. now here is the problem....

my shock (or wutever is on the top with the shock beneath the chasis) is blocking 50% of both holes on each side. hence, i cannot put the bolt through.

i have yet to jack my car up and take the wheel off to see it from under... as i have class in an hour and dont wanna get too dirty before seeing all the hot girlz

just taking a wild shot in the dark to see if anyone has the jdm type s bar and had encountered a similar problem.

for those of you who know about the bar, YES, i did get the bolts/washers from honda with the bar as it's critically necessary for installation unless the prelude is equipped with a mugen suspension or tein's.

i am gonna take off the wheel and see what i can find out from underneath..... worst scenario, i will sell it and buy a neuspeed one as i know that goes over the existing 3 shock mounts.
