rust/???

hey guys... anyone have step by step intructions on how to get rid of rust??? I have rust pretty much all over my car and I wanna patch it up before I get it painted.

sand it down
put some rust inhibitor to kill the rust
sand with rough grit paper
(do your bodywork now, bondo, fiberglass, weld in new sheet metal)
primer
paint
