R died out while driving, this happen to anyone else??
Goin to work and all of a sudden my R dies out. NO engine check light, Full tank of gas. I turn the key and the engine cranks. Fuses in engine bay okay. Car would not start like if I were to pull the ECU fuse. I towed it to the dealer and got a rental and went to work. Dealer calls me 30 miutes later and the car started, but they did not do a thing. Car is STOCK. I do have an Alpine alarm, but it will not arm if the car is started. Dealer notice that the alarm is aftermarket and would NOT run any checks. about 4 weeks back I left the car in the garage for 3 days cuz I went to Vegas and when I tried to start it, car cranked but would not start. I had to turn the key to the let the fuel pump prime for a minute then the car started just fine. I think its the full pump, but not sure.
Accessories work and battery cables are fine. If I remember correclty, when the car began to sputter I hit the gas and npthing happened. The guy that put in the alarm had it wired for an ignition kill. He came out and disconnected that, just incase, but like I said before the alarm will NOT arm/activate if the car is on.

If the engine cranks and does not start, 9 ou of 10 is your fuel pump.. Unless Honda wants to get sue this time with their bad ignition recall (happened back in early 90's with their Civics), they should've gotten this worked out.
