Idle, WOT, and you can hear it spool before I start to roast the tires.

lol....well, I don't think I will ever have to worry about emissions in Alabama, but ya never know. Georgia has emissions, so it is possible. I paid $30 for mine. I like it, but after awhile of driving, my ears were ringing. Only time it gets on my nerves is when my car is warming up and it begins to idle high. It is loud at this time and stays that way for awhile till everything warms up and the idle drops. I'm hitting the dyno to tune hopefully this weekend, so after we get good and tuned, I am going to see the gain for just uncapping the exhaust.

It is simple. Sawzaw (sp?) the exhaust pipe in a straight section of the exhaust (preferably closest to the engine as possible) about the same length as the cutout. Tac (sp?) weld it in place to see if everything is ok. Then, weld it in.

I didn't take pics of it while on the lift.

when you get a car tunned thats using a cutout you get it tunned running the cutout open on the dyno correct?, how about when running the car normally with the cutout closed, does this cause any problems?

so if you drive it normally, witht he cutout closed say on your stock exhuast or 2.5 exhuast instead of a 3". It will run rich ? also will you notice any difference in performance ?

I think you will notice the bigger gain in HP more than the little loss of torque. All I have noticed in peformance is that my turbo spools a little quicker. I'm hitting the dyno this weekend to tune. I plan on tuning with the cutout closed then making one run with it open after I am through tuning just to see what the A/F ratio is and what the gains are.

Tune the car for max power with the cut-out open...then when it's closed the car will run alittle rich...

I did it backwards, but on the dyno it didn't lean out much at all. I didn't gain any power and lost some torque. I must have a good free flowing exhaust. Note: you can't hear detonation with the cutout open.
