ok...i recnetly got a motor...(d16z6) and im gonna be driving it without vtec...using my pm6 ecu a friend of myne told me in order to activate/hook up vtec to run i should get a p28 or a obd-0 pr3...now what i ment was if i were to stay with the pm6 and get the v-afc is it better or should i just go and get a pr3 (did that make sense?)

PR3 is made to run a DOHC engine, will a VAFC even activate without a V-IN signal?

Just finished a d16z6 swap in a 89 dx hatch. Used a pg7 ecu and a VAFC to activate vtec, works really well. No problems.

Just run a wire off the vtec solenoid to the pink wire on the VAFC harness, thats all. Dont need to worry about the VTM/vtec pressure signal or running the vtec solenoid into the ecu
