Default Clutch disappointed me yesterday...

I've had my swap for almost a year now and no problems, and the clutch was good when the swap was put in, but a 1-2 shift usually accompanied with a good amount of tire spin only gave me the slip.

What clutch/pressure plate/flywheel setups are people recommending? Also where's the low prices at?
This is for dd duties, but I like heavy clutches.

ACT is good, but I think for my next clutch I'll give Action a try I'm running ACT HD right now with stock disc, and my brother has an ACT Xtreme with the upgraded disc. His grabs WAY harder than mine does - mine isn't nearly as snappy - but they both hold the our measly power outputs just fine

I dunno what the hell clutch was on my swap when I got it, but it looked almost like a 6 puck. I just left it on there, and HOLY **** that thing grabs... lol. I guess I was lucky. But on my old motor I used ACT.

I've had both ACT and clutchmasters. I am currently running a clutchmasters setup in my hatch, I have been pleased with both.

My clutchmasters stg 4 grabs in 4th and chips the tires.... It grabs so hard! I love it. Its kinda a pain to get used to though. Once you get used to it its not as bad.

I have the ACT heavy Duty. Still grabs hard though

edit: running a 12 lb flywheel (lightened stock) I love it.

I've heard good about Excedy clutches, but the ones on the Ebaymotors store, are those OEM replacement style? good prices though. Like 200 for a whole kit.

I have had both an ACT and a clutchmasters setup with my two swaps. I had the Heavy duty pressure plate and hybrid street disc on my zc. This thing grabbed hard and was very nice for what I was using it for. Once I put the b16a in i decided to shop around and got a great deal on a CM stage 1. It is great and has been fine after two years of general use and some racing. Either way ACT and CM are good clutches.

What clutch is in there right now? Just sounds old to me. Do you know how many miles are on it?

The clutch that is in there right now is unknown to me. From what I know it was in g/c and is probably an organic disk.
I had a Centerforce stage one on my olld d15b2, and it's pressure plate was stiffer than this one.
But, I'll just baby this one for a while till I have time/money to take it all apart, and hopefully change out the 5th gear while its all out.
I'll keep searchin on the net for some good prices.
