Downpipe question!! someone help!!

Default Downpipe question!! someone help!!

im putting my car back together finally . now i got to the downpipe and wasnt sure if i needed a gasket???? do i need to put a gasket where the compressor and the downpipe connect? if i do, does anyone know where to get one?? thanks

if u put one it would help a little, but isnt critical, since at that point its not going to affect spool time or anything for leaking... if u cant find a gasket, use that new red Mr. Gasket creme, new one they put out stands up to like 650F

no, u shouldnt get an exahust leak even without one. just make sure the surfaces of the housing and the flange are straight and smooth, and that all the bolts hold it tight

u can get the creme at autozone or advanced auto parts, napa, oreilly's, etc
