Could anyone help me out and let me know what tools i need to change the front rotors off an ek? I just want to make sure because I will be replacing them tommorrow morning and dont want to run off to an automotive store during the middle of the process cause im missing a tool ...thanks!

 

From my memory there are two 17mm bolts that hold the caliper onto the back of the knuckle. There is also two phillips head screws that hold the rotor onto the hub. On some cars the two screws are easy to remove and on some its hard. I has able to remove the screws on my 97 hatch with a hand screw driver. When I changed the rotors on my friends 97 prelude i had to use an impact driver from sears. I can see the impact driver being useful later down the road so you may want to pick one up.

 

so thats it bro, just a philips screw driver and a 17mm?

 

I would recommend an impact driver! Or keep a drill handy and replacement screws them things suck

 

If you wanna change your pads while your at it you'll also want a 12mm socket/wrench(whichever) and a C-clamp( to push in the piston).
