Guys, Im in need of a new thermostat, I might as well get a Spoon one since I believe the fan comes on at 75 degrees instead of 180. Could someone tell me where the best price for this piece can be found? I guess its general cost is around 60-65 bucks? Thanks.
i'm not sure you need a new thermostat. the fans don't come on, the same time your thermostat opens, it is after your thermostat opens. another thing is that using a thermostat that opens at a lower temp is not always best
The Spoon thermostat opens at 65 degrees vs stock 78 degrees.

Hmmm, my motor over heats and the fan does not turn on? Im not too sure what is going on but when it starts to over heat coolant leaks from my intake mani. which is the skunk itr with the extra coolant hole. I just plugged it for the time being, why other possiblities if not the thermostat?
one reason why your motor might be over heating, is because you cooling system works by pressure, and have a leak prevents pressure.
There are few possibilities for your case:
-blown head gasket
-malfunction thermostat
-air inside the cooling system
-thermoswitch or malfunction fan

I'm always looking around the guys that have shops and sell through h-t.com, but how come inlinefour.com's prices are ALWAYS the cheapest? Is there service just as good as the others reps are? just my .02
Low Temp Thermostats and Radiator cap is good. Why? It is good if you plan on driving your car on the track. Heats car up faster, Prevents Hunting, I would recommend it to anyone that runs on the track.
Now, I have a question. Mugen only makes the radiator cap and the thermostat. However, Spoon makes thermo switch on top of the rad. cap and thermostat. Does Spoon thermo switch aid in anything? Also, can you mix and match (i.e. mugen rad. cap and thermostat + spoon thermo switch). Thanks.
There will no problem if you mix match them.
The Spoon thermoswitch is like a fan switch it operates the fan at a lower temperature which means cooler.
