Mystery of dead battery
drove the rex last night.. everything was okay.. this morning started it no juice.. (and no for all you smart alec i did not leave my lights on)... boosted the car started works fine.. turn it off no start again.. battery just went dead... what happened? anyone ?
Do you have a stereo system? check for any cuts in your power wire, could be shorting it out. or maybe your battery terminals arent getting a good enough connection so it doesnt really recharge as you drive it?

If it turns out to be a dead battery, Buy a Odyssey PC925MJT drycell battery. I got it for $115.00. Summit Racing has them for $154.95+$8.40 handling charge. Here is the link for all the specs on the battery, As far as I am concerned the Odyssey batteries blow away Optima batteries.

Here is the e-mail address of the guy you can buy the Odyssey PC925MJT battery from for $115.00 shipped to your doorstep and also to ask him any questions you may have. The only thing he askes is that you Paypal the money to him , This way he has no overhead and he can sell the batteries at that price.

I had my battery in exactly 7 days shipped UPS Ground. He is in California and I am in Connecticut so I would say it was pretty fast shipping on his part.

An easy way to test the alt. function is to pull either batt cable off while the car is running. If the car dies you need an alt. The only real way to test the battery is by doing a load test. Hit up Auto Zone etc, Im pretty sure they do that for free.
the battery could not be making a clean connection. check the cables. if its not connecting correctly you will be able to start it by jump starting the battery but once you turn it off it wont start back up because it never got recharged from driving it.
First things first, turn the car on, when its on, disconnect the positive battery terminal. If the car dies, you got yourself a dead alternator. If the Alt. is good, the car should stay running.
