Default weird favor to ask

Just wondering if any of you guys on the ITR board would be willing to let me borrow an extended O2 sensor to see if my code 67 is coming from the secondary O2 or from the cat. I would pay shipping , etc. Only need it for less than a day. I'm sure there are people on this board that will vouch for me

I was under the impression that it was a faulty O2 because I though my Hytech came with the 100,000 mile Reanault cat, but in reality it is a carsound. So now with all the problems people have been having with theor carsound I'm thinking it could be either.

If you guys know of a way I can figure it out other than this, please chime in as well. I just wanna get this fixed. I know the code isn't throwing the ECU off at all, but it really is beginning to bother me.

Thanks for helping a brutha out

The Renault is ~$100 extra and needs to be specified when ordering, I'm not sure which you specified when you ordered the header and exhaust. I have an extender, but I need it in my car...not much help, if you have a soldering iron and some wire it's fairly easy to extend it.

It's not tough at all, seriously.

I can tell you from experience with Carsound cats (4+ now) that I would bet money it is the cat. They are complete crap.

My experience has been totally the opposite of onyx, although a good number of peope have had the same experience that he is talking about, so I am in NO WAY discounting this info.

I have had the recurring secondary o2 sensor CEL.... it goes on, off, on, off, etc. I'm convinced the o2 sensor gets covered in unburnt fuel/soot and can't function. How to fix this... I have no idea.

As far as extending wires go... that's really easy. Even for me, the worst solder-er in the entire universe.

Yeah I figured it woulnd't be too difficult, but I didn't wanna splice a perfectly good O2 if I didn't have to, but I guess I will have to do so anyways before speedtrials

Austin, I bought my system used. It was originally Louie's from the board, which was a prototype, which John said was before the days of the Renault cat.

I thought there was some info going around that John was having difficulty sourcing the Renault's now.
