Default VAFC Removal question

I am not experienced with working with the ECU. But I am having problems out of my vafc and want to disconnect it the easiest way possible. I was thinking is there A power wire I can clip and leave all the other connections or does it have to be completely removed? Help an electronics rookie!!

you have to remove the whole time. removing the power or the clip will not cut it

Is it simple or would you reccomend taking it to a shop to have it removed?

it's pretty simple...especially if who-so-ever put it in did not solder (sp) the wires.

Take ou tthe ecut...you will see where the wires run from the vafc to tap into you ecu harness....just take note, or draw tourself a pic and label each wire for memory and re-installation phase.

After you have removed the wires from harness just connect all colors back together from the harness...and you're done..

Reverse directions for re-installations

if all you want is to remove the vafc, use a soldering station and remove all the wires. about 30min of work if you are experienced
