The harness actually just plugs into the VAFC wires to extend them. I believe you can just solder wires to the VAFC and then solder the extensions to your ECU because even with the harness, you'll have to solder the wires to the ECU wires.

You can cut that connector off and then solder wires to the VAFC wires. That will work just fine. It'll be more work unless you can get A'PEXi to sell you the harness to extend the wires w/o having to cut and solder ****.
