Bent valves?
I'm assuming you reved that high on a mis-shift? Hmm. I guess a compression and leak down test can give you some answers. I hope you were able to catch it in enough time and find another gear/neutral..

Is the car ticking loud??? Sound different at idle??
I did this recently at MAM Honda-tech track day.. Car idled rough but still at the correct RPM.
Definitely do a compression test though. L
