Default Is my subwoofer blown?

ok so i put in 2 new jl subs today and after about 3 hours i was driving home and i turned it down (i never really had it turned up all the way either...the subs are about 3 weeks old) and i noticed that one of my subs was making a rattling noise. I opened my trunk and i saw it was the left one so i applied really weak pressure to the center of the left amp and the rattling stopped and it was making normal thumps. Think its blown? or just loose screw? or what? Thanks yall

push down on the cone with light pressure and hear the suspension for unwound coil. also compare the suspension with the other sub. if its different, then its probably blown

you applied pressurre to the amp and the rattling stoped? is it mounted to the box? if so move it to a diff spot or tighten it down

I was thnking the same thing. One other way to check to see if they are blown is to take a 9v battery, take the leads from your sub box and put them to the corresonding polarity on the 9v battery. If the subs excurt and stay that way until you remove the wires then they are fine. If they don't then it's a good chance that they are blown.
