Default dynamat

i am currently running 2 12" W3V2's in my 95 civic sedan

i just got a bulk pack of xtreme dynamat for my birthday containing 36 square feet of material

should i use the entire 36 square feet in the trunk or how much would i need and how would i go about installing it?

any help would be appreciated..... thanks..

BTW... i already searched... and everybody is saying different things such as cover whole trunk or use small patches.... dunno what to do

depends wut u want out of it. do u want to just stop the rattling, or do u want more bass out of it while getting the rattling to stop.
if u just want the rattiling to stop, just put it on thin panels and the places that rattle of course. if u want to get more bass out of it, do the whole trunk. it has been said that u dont get more bass, but i have installed dynamat and i can say it sounds louder when covered. eh who knows

Do the whole trunk and then go buy some more but don't buy dynamat cuz it is expensive as hell.......trust me. I have purchased three xtreme bulk packs and I only have my trunk and two front doors done. Take a look at these:

Both work extremely well and for the price in copmarison to this:

You get more for your dollar and they work just as good.

As for the actual installation (based on my experience):
Go take your mom/sister/girlfriend/wife hair dryer and set it to high heat (I'd recommend going and buying an actual heat gun). Use this and a roller to apply it. The hair dryer/heat gun will make the dynamat more elastic and easier to apply. Before taking the adhesive backing off make sure to lay it out and cut the pieces with a utility knife to fit. They don't have to be perfect just close enough. After you have the pieces ready, take off the backing, but not all of it just about 6" or so. Put it down & roll it out. Then peel backing a little bit at a time. The reason why I say do it a little at a time is because once this **** sticks.....It's there. Very difficult to peel off once it's stuck. I'd do the trunk lid first, then the sides of the trunk then the floor. Once your done with your trunk. Do it over again. Enjoy!

What would I do about loading some of this stuff up in my hatch?
Would I still just take the paneling off around the rear windshield and layer it on, or should I leave it be?
If someone has dynamat in their GSR hatch, please help me out

n0 iNTegRiTY: I would take the panelling off and then put it on. You might want to think about getting some of the spray on dynamat (or eqivalent) to get the inside areas. It doesn't work as well but it's better than nothing.

if your worried about weight get some spray adheasive and put a role of "reflextrix" (like bubble wrap with foil on both sides) and put it on all the non major rattleing spots, a roll of 20 ft wieghs less then 3lbs probably.
