After nearly a month of downtime due to waiting for parts (after I had already begun tearing the car apart), she finally runs. This is what I'm running:

First impressions: WOW... power.. in an LS? Absolutely amazing.. the sound, speed of the car and looks of that intercooler kill me. Perhaps the best part of driving around isn't the speed.. but the looks that I get from riceboys. I don't seem to be detonating at all.. my shitty autometer a/f is always pegged in rich at WOT, and I don't hear any noises. Car pulls hard all the way to redline, with no hesitation in between.

Questions: What's the typical power output for this setup? I'm guessing somewhere around 200-210whp.. it really pulls in the upper revs. Also, what can I do to ensure the deltagate doesn't spike? I know I'm going to get a lot of "GET A TIAL" sort of responses. Finally, am I going to notice any type of power decrease once I get the DP welded to my stock exhaust? It's just way too loud and smelly to drive around with open DP.

If anyone has any questions about turbo install.. let me know, I've been through nearly every problem imaginable.

well you guessed it....get a tial.

yes you will notice some power decrease....depending on how small the stock exhaust is, some poeople dont even hit full boost.....get an exhaust 2.5 piping. bigger if you have higher HP goal.

and i know you are running an inline pump with that FMU right?

 

At least the riceboys in your town seem to know what theyre looking at..I just get confused looks every day...I even had one kid at my school as me why I needed such a big radiator. That kind of junk makes the turbo worth it in itself!
