Default Car 'shakes' at high speed?

After 65 mph my car starts to get the shakes...I know i need an alignment and my tires are just about bald...

What could be causing this? I replaced the front wheelbearings and ball joints about 3k miles ago.

Any suggestions ?

unbalanced wheels... if your *** shakes, its the rear wheels, if the steering wheel shakes, its the front wheels... go get new tires if they're bald

deff. ballance the wheels. it makes a big difference. and if u find that the car fights with you now.. it wont when u get new tires and balance em.

i was told by the guy that did my alignment that alignments dont cause the steering wheel to shake. he said bad ballenced wheels do.

my cars steering wheel shook at about 70+ and i had just gotten my tires mounted

what do you know, after getting the alignment done the shaking stopped

i had bad toe. so its a combination of both, not just one or the other

I dont think my axels need to be done yet...Ill find out tmrw when I look at her.

As for the tires, I can understand if theyre unbalanced, they havent been since Ive bought em.

I just ordered new tires regardless, thanks for the help H-T.
