im trying to decide weather a supercharger or turbo would be best for my civic si 2000. Im looking at the vortec supercharger and the greddy turbo kit. if anyone has any input to give me let me know what you think

 

This question has no definite answer.

With that said, I'd supercharge AND turbo it.

 

this is a turbo dominant board. thats all most people will recommend here. there are also a lot of actual racecar owners on here, something you wont find on the supercharger - dominant boards.

turbo gets my vote

 

depend. the question you want to ask yourself is "Do I wanna be Fast?" if your answer is yes, Turbo your car. This is just my opinion anyways.

but seriously, if you are looking for constant power, go supercharger, but if you are looking for overall power, go turbo.

Autocrossing = supercharger
racing = Turbo

and dont waste your $$$ on a greddy kit I have a kit for sale that is perfect for the SI, way better than greddy, if you are interested, ill show you some pics.

 

i would recommend turbo also...Ive seen alot supercharged cars that should be ALOT faster and put down better numbers than they do.

Hey isn't that a song by DMX .

 

I've had both..., but what it comes down to is how fast do you want to go? A supercharger is quick, but limited in power.
I had the Jackson Supercharger... I don't care much for Vortec. Just IMO.
