Installing Shocks + Coilovers
Whats up Everyone
I got some Rdx Racer adesign adjustable coilovers and I'm getting ready to buy some KYB AGX adjustable gas shocks on friday.
I need to know how hard is it to install the shocks. I searched and I noticed something about it being hard without airtools....My Auto-tech teacher might let me use his equipment so that might not be a problem.
But I want to know what are they steps and details of doing this and how long does it take aproxx, 'cause this will be my first time doing this
. And also if there is any website that you guys know that have some type of step by step installation guide. If there is any...
Any help from you guys will help me out alot.
Thanks guys

Here's the NTPOG write-up:

I did springs/shocks last week and it was a bitch but I did it myself with just a compressor and some ratchets. It REALLY helps to have a friend though to help align everything back together again. If you don't have airtools its just a bitch to sit there for 1/2 an hour and crank the spring compressor. Definitely doable though. The NTPOG recommends a pittman arm puller to open the ball joint - you can get it if you want but I just wacked it with a hammer a few times and it separated.

Exactly what yield said.
Ask if there is a power tool you can borrow and make sure you get a GOOD spring compressor, on the ntpog site above they show a picture of what it should look like.. I've seen some scary ones that were very ghetto and makeshift.
Also make sure that you have a socket big enough to fit on the bolt of the spring compressor..... it takes a LOOOOOONG time by hand to compress the springs, half hour .. at least.
