Re: coilovers with stock shocks (MiracleWhip)
A rough ride really. I had my car dropped with Ground Control coilovers with a 3" drop for about a year and when I took my stock shocks off they were still fine.

Re: coilovers with stock shocks (96 SOHC VTEC)
you will get a rough and bouncy ride, and your shocks will blow out, my shocks went out in like 2 months with almost a 3 inch drop with groundcontrols

Yup i had the same thing. It was bouncy as hizell nothing beats the ability to dampen your shocks when u drop it like its hot!

since your going to have your suspension apart for the coil over install you might as well replace it with some KYB AGX or Koni Adjustables (yellows).. if your doing it yourself.. it will save you some labor/time..
if your paying someone.. it will save you both labor/time AND MONEY!!!.. no point in paying for it twice (once for the springs, once again for the shocks)..you dont want to be rollin around all bouncy...

a long long time ago before I learned what a wrench was..
... they include installation free with purchase of shocks & Springs...
I guess if you are buying 700 bux worth of stuff.. they put it on for your for free

$100 for install is pretty resonable..stay away from those franchise shops that ll charge u 300+ for install s...stick with ur local speed shops that offer more resonable rates..i had mine done for $75...if ur drop is less than 2 inch s..ull get by with non adjustable shocks..koni reds and the blue tokico s are good..though i prefer the koni s..anymore think about biltsteins, tokico white adj. or the koni yellows...or the pricer full coilovers $$$$

You guys riding coilovers on your stock shocks....
Were you able to use the black metal dust boot cover for the front shocks? I had to remove mine because the metal boot cover would not go inside or outside the coilover sleeve
I drove the car around the block and I already feel the difference (ride quality has gone to hell). This is raised at stock height since I can not get the drivers side shock loose from the spring. The allen nut on top is stripped
I'm going to upgrade within 2 months.
When I diassembled the front after I realized the dust boot would have to be removed With air tools it literary (sp?) took me 6 minutes to get the wheel off, shock/coilover apart, and the dust boot cover removed
