i just gutted the back of my CRX yesterday. I ripped out all the stereo crap and panels. Everything. All i have back there is a spare tire and a lug wrench. That, and my shiny new el-cheapo strut bar
I was just sick of all the panels not fitting right, and making noise over all the bumps.

I wiped everything down nice and clean with citrus spray, and i'm thinking about coating everything with a nice coat of paint. ****, it may be ugly, but my car was ugly anyway. The **** that owned it before me painted a yellow racing stripe on it.
I'm gonna paint it as soon as i get my new bumper.

 

Congrats man, personally i think gutted crxs look hot man, like race cars.

 

gutted is beauty in my eyes...got everything outta my car practically...no headliner...no carpet...one seat...every thing plastic is gone exept for the dash which might go in a little bit also...the floor is scared from two weekends of scraping of the 12 year old tar...i bet yah my car is uglier than yours also...hehe teal paint with clear coat chipping off...eyore sticker on the rear window...left over 3M tape on the lower panels from the crome trim all around the car...13 inch aftermarket cheapy rims from the '80s...bubbled tint thats fadded to blue...and a good amount of spider webs outside and inside the car...yea but im gonna do the same as u by painting inside and out so the car looks clean....

 

Hey, this is something i did to my gutted rear compartment. I sprayed it with truck liner. Its just like rubber. and it holds down stuff pretty good. kinda doubles as a sound deadening material. just make sure you get all of the old paint out before you start rolling! good luck buddy

 

Somebody suggested that i take some thick paperboard, and neatly cut out sections to cover the holes in the panels. I'm not sure on what i want to do though. I am definatly digging the way it looks though. I think a naked CRX is almost as nice as a naked woman

I din't strip the front of the car, only the back. But, i'm sure someone else has pics they can post. I think i'm going to leave the front alone for now, because this is still my daily driver.
