Vortech SC on 2000 GSR
You must be patient and understanding.
Paitent= waiting for the damn thing to make any power
.
Understanding= now that your reached your power, its time to shift
Also search in Fi using "supercharger" and you will find more than enough info on stupidchargers.

now THAT was funny.
don't get a s/c'er unless you enjoy dissappointment.

I wouldn't quite say don't get a supercharger, I love my JRSC. It is a general consensus that you should either get a turbo or JRSC. The vortec has a the disadvantages of a turbo and a supercharger combined.

its a matter of personal preference. however, i have had the jrsc with an 8 lb pulley on a stock gsr motor and it pretty much blew. a mild 190 - 200 hp allmotor set up would murder a jrsc even with an 8/9 lb pulley. but to each his own i guess.
a simple turbo set up is the better choice.
but i will agree, if your going s/c, go with the jackson, cause the vortech blows.

I had a JRSC on my b20 vtec and Ill compare it to this. Imagine your car driving everyday with a 50 shot and no top end
I was getting owned on the freeway by ls1's all day long
.
Everyone says turbo is unreliable, blah blah bah, and I want a supercharger because theres no lag. Most of the people spreading rumors are form people who have never owned a turbo honda.
I had the stupidcharger on my car for 3 weeks and then I decided to go turbo
smartest thind I ever did.
But back on topic If you insist on getting a stupidcharger atleast get the JRSC and not the vortech

Exactly, I'm very happy with my JRSC, but would never consider a centrifugal blower setup on a 4 cylinder.

do NOT waste your money on a vortec SC. a JRSC will net you around 250WHP without extensive engine mods with instant power. a turbo will net you up to 350 WHP with out extensive mods. its your choice from there

i learned a lot from the JRSC install i dont regret it...

I don't see how a 190-200 WHP all motor ( making maybe 135 TQ) could possibly out run a car making 240WHP and 155+ TQ. Maybe from a dead stop, I am making around 290 WHP with a supercharger and walk almost everything I have run from a roll.
Now from a dead stop I get hot shot by mini vans.
But as I once read, Take all the bad things from a supercharger and all from a turbo and you have the Vortec.
Either a Turbo or a JRSC.

because i am talking about from a dead stop, like a 1/4 mile. and i am also considering that the average jrsc set up is going to make 215-220 hp tops and maybe 230 with the 8 lb pulley. most people do not have it intercooled nor do they have hondata. a 200 hp street hatch, all motor, runs 12.40's....easy. you would never run 12.40's with a jrsc set up with an 8 lbs pulley(thats most people set up). and i will not compare it to an intercooled, 11 psi set up making 250+ to the wheels cause thats not the average set up and if i were to compare, why not just go turbo. for the money spent on that type of jrsc set up, you could go WAY faster with a turbo set up. the point is mute. superchargers are not the best mod for fwd, 4cyl engines. and thats a fact.
