Default Question bout 99 accord Cd player

it has like a hard time reading burn CD's...is that normal?

It really shouldn't have a hard time playing burned cd's...did you make sure the cds are finalized? Thats usually the most common problem...

wrong...6th gen(especially pre-01 year) accord's cd player almost always have that probelm, it read fine when it's new but after two-three year that poor thing just quit working.

I have two friend with 6th gen(98exv6,00exv6) have the same problem.

hmm....i still have mine and it works....when i first got my car i used it for about 2 years...after that it went to the closet for about 3 years...and i'm using it now...and its still kicking...

Default Try burning at a slower speed.

I read on v6performance.net that the slower speeds and certain types of blank help. I never had problems with burned CDs.

Burning at a slower speed will help a little, but you also might want to try using a different brand of cd. A lot of the older cd players could read the Memorex cds a little better (not the black ones though). Some people have had better results with Imation...

so slower burn speeds will help?

and wat kinda blanks are good?

just sell the stupid deck for 80 buck and get an aftermarket one..i dont know about you but i want my headunit to read EVERYTHING

Personally, on my '99 LX, I have a cassette player (with no security code) and a trunk mounted Alpine CD changer. I've had no problems with the Alpine reading CD-Rs.
