i heard dohc zc has around 133hp and d15 vtec has about 130hp i think? im not sure which one would be better and i just wanted to hear your opinion thanks
They're both 130 hp. I don't know about the torque, but I imagine the D15 would be quicker, because it is newer. My sohc VTEC was quicker than most ZC's I took on at the track.
The sohc vtec has around 111 lbs of torque i believe, but its a matter of vtec really. hp and torque wise, they are evenly matched but there a feeling with the vtec you just dont get with the non vtec....plus the zc is not smog legal....where as the sohc vtec is....
There is much more area beneath the power curve in a D15b. If you take a look at the dynographs of both motors you'll see that the curve for the d15b is a little higher than the ZC throughout the power-band.

No, not every sohc ZC has vtec. As for the minime, it may be a little bit higher comp. but it will work.

Yes, but those two could easily be an exceptionaly good D15 Vtec Vs a below average DOHC ZC. THe DOHC ZC should out torque and out power the D15 Vtec, and be on par with the SOHC ZC in torque but the DOHC will top it in power by a few HP. Of course that is assuming engines in equal condition.
Well all the liberals in Cali brought all this bull down on themselves. Well the ones of voting age anyway. Put envioromentalist wackos in office along with a bunch of liberals and this is what you get. Thank god I don't live anywhere near California.
No offense to the normal minority that live there, Everyone in Cali can't be a wacko.
I got my ZC to pass a Virginia Emissions test, and that isn't a walk in the park either.
Vote liberal, vote green party and they are going to take away your cars next.
Remember this Vote republican, Vote ARNOLD!

yes thats completely right.....i have more power around the power band compared to a B16
look at my cousins B16 with the PR3 auto ecu...200 psi compression all around . just a auto ecu
and now look at my old D16Z6 without no tunning

Let's see 1.6 vs. 1.5
Easy one
Don't rely on HP numbers mang, you get disappointed at the end.
-I've never heard of ANY d series rated at 110+ lb/ft!!!
D15 is still D15 regardless Where's the Bottom end grunt???
Besides, you'd have to run OBD-1 electronics to maximize potential.
