Default How to primer???

Hey, I was thinking bout repainting my teal hatch. I was wondering if i could primer the car myself at home? I hear a lot of people do it at home, but i should think it would be a hard tast wouldnt it? Also i was wondering how much it would cost to have a shop primer my car? Also, what materials would i need to primer it myself at home? And is primer okay to drive round with long term or is it only for short term?

you'll be ok driving around w/ primer.befroe you attemt to primer the car must be cleaned off then buy some dupont primer buy the 1120s which is the primer buy the 1125s whichis the hardener and the reducer which is 1320 mixxing cups when you mix the primer look on the mixxing cup and mix a 4 1 1 and 1/5 then if you have a gun start primering its pretty easy just don't have the air on to high or it will dry the primer befroe it hits the car
sorry no periods.

And i dont understand the mixing part...how much of which do i mix? And i need a gun to primer it? hmm can i like rent one? Also isnt there any sanding involved? What kinda grit should i use to sand my car down? Any certain grit? Procedure?

what exactly are you doing?
1120 is the primer 1125 is the hardener which makes the primer dry quicker 1320 is the reducer which makes the primer not so thick so it can spray throught the gun.i reallly don't know if you can rent a gun or not but they are pretty expensive to buy ours at my work are 500 bucks each.well the primer has to be mixed w/ the 1120 1125 and 1320 so when you buy a mixxing cup it will have the measurments of how much to put in you will use the 4 to 1 measurment. (any more ? just ask might not be able to answer right away always working but i'll try)
