I am not talking about the cheap kind of flex pipe....I am talking about the kind that has the braided look to it. Think a muffler shop could make me a custom fit part? I think it would be a good thing to have. It would isolate my exhuast system from any engine bounce....not that I have alot after getting motor mount inserts.

I would say get a test pipe, even the most expensive flex pipe will break and leak like crazy

you should definately have a flex pipe. a flex pipe DOES NOT replace a test pipe, but rather connects the header to it via a flexible joint.. and no leaks, unlike a donut flange.

take your car "openheader" down to a muffler shop.. have them cut a piece of pipe to gobetween the downpipe and exhaust.. put a flange on the exhaust side so you can disconnect them easily..

cost me 60 bucks.. but then again.. it was a small bribe.. er.. i mean price to pay for someone in california to take a chance they weren't being monitored for infractions...
