Default B20 vtec , LS VTEC people Has this ever happoned to you??

This has happoned 3 times. Once on my Old LS vtec 5yrs ago, And 2 times on the B20 motor. First the B20 is 2.2ltr(dont think that is the prob. But I have pulled the threads out of the block with stock head bolts on the LS vtec and the B20vtec. ON the LS I thought is was a 1 off thing helicoiled the block never a problem again sold the motor and that guy wrecked the car. So dont know how long the heli coil would have lasted. Last year same thing happoned to the B20 block CR is normal about (10.8:1) maby a bit higher. SO replaced with helicoil and ARP head stud kit lasted 13 months now broke and I am looking for another block.

Has this happoned to anyone else??? And if so what did you do about it. ANd for all you people that have in stalled the arp head stud kit the first time(now kicks self in ***) like I should have, have yall had any problems in the head staying TQ down????

i've done that before.......you have to use gsr head bolts you can't use the b16 bolts........they are too short, i just solved the problem buy buying a gsr head stud kit and i haven't had it happen since.........

i've done it on a bunch of blocks, 2 of them have been helicoiled, one motor is still around somewhere, it was a friends that was sold.......my dads car has gsr studs in it and the heads been off of it about 3 times now......no problems driving for almost 2 years, no leaks and one of my buddies that was helicoiled.....was driven for just under a year and the motor was taken apart and sold......once you helicoil the blocks, some people say they are stronger but i never trust them after that, i have a block right now that has helicoils and one of them is stripped again,
