Question about amps and component speakers..
Ok.. so I installed a set of Boston 6.5 Pro's last week and am powering them with an Eclipse 33230 2 channel amp. I was doing some reading of all the specs on the items and noticed something I hadn't noticed before.. The Boston's are listed as 3 ohm speakers, but the amp runs at either 2 or 4 ohm. I hooked up the speakers the standard way, running one channel for left and one for right. My questions are, is this hooked up properly? Is the amp running at 2, 3, or 4 ohms? And, flat out, did I buy the wrong amp?
Looking for a little info and validation.. It all sounds fine, I'm just trying to make the specs make sense.. thanks!!

ur fine. as long as the amp is 2ohm stable. usually speakers arent 3ohms so its never really rated at 3 ohms. if u had an amp that can only do 4ohms, then u would have a problem. ur power rating is between the 2ohm rating and 4 ohm rating.
yep.. it's 2 ohm stable.. thanks!
btw - the 3ohm listing for the boston's was off their spec sheet in their catalog.. that's where i got that from.. i figured that was legit..
