Oil in spark plug holes? WTF?
When I went to change my spark plugs today, all the little cavaties in the block were filled with oil, up to the top of the spark plugs. I have no idea how it got in there. My spark plugs were easy enough to remove, but they didn't seem to be loose, certantly not loose enough that oil could get past the threads.
I should also mention that my car seems to be using a little oil lately... it doesn't seem to be burning any though (I can't see any smoke), and I can't find any leaks.
My car only has 75k miles on it and has always been maintained, so I don't know what's going on here... hopefully there is a reasonable explination for this & there isn't something seriously wrong with my engine...

4DR has it correct, that is most likely your problem. The grommets are abt $2.50 each from the dealership. When you install them do not use any silicone or gasket maker...this is not needed...it may cause a bad seal after a bit of driving.
Goodluck!

Thanks for the advice guys... hmm maybe this would be a good time to repaint my valve cover, anyone know where I can get factory Type-R red paint? Hehe...
Will I also need to replace my main valve cover gasket, or is it OK to reuse my old one?
