My ITR Swaybar IS ON!!! =)
I installed my ITR Swaybar which I received brand new w/ original Honda packaging for just the bolts and all bushings, etc. Keep in mind that I am really bad with tools, but I'm fortunate to have neighbors that are really good with cars. I first of all jacked up my car and then I took off my old, small 14mm swaybar. From there I was somewhat lost? I used the Beaks Kit to reinforce the subframe, but I didn't have adequate instructions. I didn't remove the muffler or the LCA pivot bolts and the lack of those being removed really made the installation a lot harder than it should've been. Everything was straight forward, but installing the reinforcement plates (4 Plate) was a real pain and took a while becuse you have to place 2 Support plates in the rear and match them up to nut plates in the front, but the rear ones are a pain......anyways...just rambling on here.....but I finally got in on around 11PM!! The swaybar eliminated just about every bit of bodyroll and the car feels so tight just like everyone says it does. Keep in mind my cars suspension is stock other than this swaybar. I love it though!! If you have $150 to spend, this has got to be the best way to go. Understeer? If anything it is going to make your car oversteer. I just can't wait until my next Auto-X event!!
men, i can't wait to put mines on. just wondering where did u get your itr rear sway. i got mines at A&H motorsports. i got mines at $109.20 shipped. just waitng for my BSQ mounting kit to arrive...hehe
just wondering what is your next mod? how's the AEM w/ the bypass valve, another bang for the buck
im thinking about getting CAI cuz i need a new air filter. im down w/ getting cheap mods that make alot of difference. when u need new break bads, look into getting some Hawks. men, another bang for the buck mod. great stopping power, but can get pretty dusty. but its worth it tho....

So it was 150 from the dealership?
A swaybar will do a lot more for handling than the rear tie bar ever will. I'd opt for a larger swaybar if you haven't already. But if you have, the tie bar will likely not fit without some modification.

gsr94- I posted that I was looking for an ITR Swaybar and someone e-mailed me. The bar was brand new, all the bolts, bushings, brackets, everything was sealed in Honda packaging, it was sooo nice!! It also came with the Beaks Kit! I got everything for $140 shipped which isn't too bad considering the Beaks Kit is $60, but it sure makes a huge difference. I love my AEM Intake, the sound alone makes you want to gas it all the time which is good and bad. It's a really easy install and is pretty cheap. Another cosmetic mod that is relatively cheap that I would recommend is the OEM Bodykit from Radley Acura. I just installed that Saturday and my car looks so much cleaner. It replaced the ugly black plastic on my white car w/ clean looking white side skirts. I also need some new brakes as well, but I'm kind of poor right now plus I want to buy this 600 Katana right now!
Money....gosh I wish I had more!

The stock GS-R Swaybar is only a puny 14mm versus the ITR Swaybar being a beefy 22mm which is a huge difference. When the original bar was off I was amazed. In order to avoid subframe tearout you need to buy a mounting kit. BSQ (Bret) has his kit which is only $20, which seems to do the job, but I would rather purchase Beaks, just because it reinforces both sides, the inside and outside, but the price is around $60. It's an issue just like using a bypass valve or not. I would rather shell out the extra $40 and have more piece of mind, but it's up to you. Bret is a really nice guy though and he has instructions on his site...let me find it: http://www.geocities.com/bretq/ You can look at the kit, but make sure you find links on the Beaks kit, just to make sure you make the right decision. Either way, the swaybar is definitely the best suspension mod you can make as far as I know and it is around $150 total which is cheap!! I highly recommend it!
If you need any help with your installations, you can e-mail me at idyfohu@hotmail.com
Good Luck!

I agree, but after awhile you don't notice it anymore
But I guess its like that w/ any mod.
OMG, exactly! I was just wondering if stuff loosened up and it wasn't working as good. But after I rechecked everything, I just relized that I was used to it.

I wonder how Bret's car is holding up now. I've used his kit for almost a year of hard driving and it seems fine.
I used bretq's kit myself, didn't know of the other one. I couldn't break the spot-welds on the back of the crossmember so I just tap'd the bolt hole to re-thread for the larger size, everything seems okay. I guess I didn't understand the bit about only 16lbs of torque or whatever in bretq's instructions, cause that didn't seem like much torque at all. So I just cranked it on there pretty tight. Then I put the car back down on the ground. So should I go back and check it?
It seems to be performing well - I can't even believe the difference it made. I 0wned at auto-x this weekend! woo!

Thanks! I started way too late and it got dark so we had to pull out the lights because we just did it in the neighborhood. I was lucky my neighbor came out and helped me otherwise I wouldn't have got it done. It feels so much better now. Anyways, I hope your knee gets better so we can meet up at the next Auto-X on the 24th. Damn.....I saw that guy in his silver hatch with the B18C5 again, loud *** car on the same overpass, haha.
