Currently im running on kyb agx's and ground controls. My drop has enough space for 2 finger gap if not a tad bit more.. The reason why I chose to do this was because of street obstacles (as I do not want to take any chances of denting mr jdm header), although having the car dumped is so appealing to the eye. Is it just me or do the majority of the cars posted here on HT have similar drops, tire is right underneath the wheel well.
so is this soley for asthetics or for better handling? or both?

I would say its rare to see a ITR dropped to the point the fender covers the top of the tire. A little lower MAY help with handling(1'' or so), but the lower you go, the more you screw up the suspension geometry that honda worked magic to make in the ITR.

Under which fender? Front or rear?
I have about 1 finger at the back fenders and 2.5 at the front. Will probably be going back to OEM springs soon, though.
Lowing the car is good for the centre of gravity, however there is a tradeoff in losing suspension travel. The point at which that tradeoff becomes detrimental to handling is dependant somewhat on what kind of use the car is seeing. A pure track car can get away with being lower than a street car should be mainly because one needn't worry as much about encountering mid-corner bumps as much on a racetrack. But I have seen many street cars that are lower than the race cars are.
Keep in mind, most of what suspension does is managing weight transfer. This isn't the kind of thing there is a one-size-fits-all answer to. The characteristics of the individual car play a big role in suspension setup. Nobody can simply say, "your car should have X.X" of clearance between the tires and the fendewells."
IMO, the perfect choice for a car that sees mostly street use is the OEM spring. Aesthetics be damned. Besides, cars on stock springs don't look as high IRL as they do in photos.

that's spoon springs on stock shocks and i'm not happy with the way the car handles at all. the entire setup will be replace once i get a little more money to kick around.

i'm running tokico illumina/prokit. its like 3 1/2 front finger gap and 2 rear fringer gap. i think 2 finger all around is good..it looks nice.
delinquent: what do you plan on running after you get rid of the spoon springs?? i hear that they are on the soft side. is that true to why you are gonna change? BTW your car still look great. especially with that background

I've always found the "finger" as an official unit of measure to be hilarious.

What think you then of feet and yards?
1 foot was an approximation of the size of the average human male foot. 1 yard was originally calculated as the distance between the king's chin and his fingertips.
Of course, it is rather silly to use body parts to measure things now that we have precise, logically derived units of measurement (i.e. the metric system), and common instruments with which to put them to use.

it's not so much the stiffness of the spring that bothers me -- it's more the fact that they create a lot of understeer. i'd like to move to a stiffer-rear setup and something with some adjustability so that i can easier tune it to my liking.
btw, thanks!
