**EDIT** SORRY- he bought a B16a2.. i'm not sure if they are the same.. sorry-

Here is the bolt pattern of a gsr oil pan, it might help a little to compare to your 1 gen b16 oil pan.

I'll try looking for the bolt pattern on a del sol b16 oil pan and a 00 si oil pan. I'm almost 100% sure you could use the del sol and the 00 si oil pans on the 1 gen b16.

I believe that all b series oil pans are the same. Im not sure but im pretty positive. I had a gsr oil pan on my b18a soim pretty sure it would work.

well lets try this.......
wich of these parts from b series vtec motors dont interchange.
cams.
transmissions.
head.
intake manifold(with exeption of a gsr)
header, or exhaust manifold (same exeption)
valve cover
alot more but im tired
now this is one reason i like honda so much. most of there b series parts are interchangable. now im not posotive about the pan, but my guess is they would be. now i would have to say if honda left all the other things the same, and changed the design/bolt pattern of the damn oil pan just to through people off then that would be dumb, so my guess is yes (dont take my advise im prolly wrong).
ok now that my drunken rambling is over, im gonna go to bed now.

If you are going to remove it anyway...
You can take it to a reputable WELDING shop, and have the old plug welded up, and a new plug installed into a short pipe nipple. This can also be a good time to have an oil return line installed for future dry sump, or turbo... Even Both!! have them capped until ready for use, if you do this...
That old pan is not a total loss...
