Default k20 questions.

So i've been wondering a lot lately about the paths to go for a k20 buildup.

Camshaft options are availible now mostly in the form of toda spec a, b, and c, and the vtec killers. One disturbing notion i realized when reading toda's site is that the spec b, c, and the vtec killers all require toda's own VTC killer cam gears.

For an excersise in peak power dropping the VTC & vtec would be reasonable.

But what if you wanted to maintain the advantages of VTC with a more agressive all motor build? Even on a race motor, variable timing can be beneficial for broadening the torque band.

So is there any way to use the more agressive spec b, c, or vtec killer cams with the stock VTC cam gear? And then maybe use the apexi vafc II (which i've been told can be used to control the VTC timing) to limit intake timing so as not to cause any piston/valve contact from too much advance?
