Starting Problem
When I go out to start my car, and it's cold outside, I turn the key and it just clicks. All of the electronics come on like radio, heater, and lights. If I turn the key back, and try it again, sometimes it will start, and sometimes it won't. This morning it took my five minutes of turning the key back and forth to get it started. I have no clue what it could be. Any help, or ideas are appreciated.
I had a similar problem. I removed the fuel system relay and resoldered the post and it seems to have fixed the problem. If you dont want to do it yourself, Discovery autoparts has it for about 30$ HERE IS THE #888-858-5711
It is your main ignition relay. One cheap and easy way to check it is go to Napa or an auto parts supplier and get a pust button starter. Its basically just a button with a positibe terminal to connect to your batter and a black terminal to connect to the selinoid on your starter. If its starts right up, then its your main ignition relay. I had this exact prob. Sometimes it would start sometimes not, then it finally just turned and turned but never started til i fixed this. I wound up keeping the push button start cuz its kinda cool and original and people trip out when they see it. Keep in mind i disengaged my clutch wire to my ignition so I dont need to depress it in order for it to start...anyhow...hope that fixes your prob....
